Entries Open: 9:00AM Wednesday 30th January 2019.
Entries Close: 5:00PM Wednesday 27th February 2019.
Age Groups: U8-U13.
Entry Fee: $11.00 per event for the first 3 events, then $5.00 for an additional fourth or fifth event. Capped at $38.00.
The SC is a competition for athletes who did not quite qualify for the State Individual Championships, but have bettered or equalled the SC qualifying standard(s) for the nominated athletic event(s) on at least one occasion within the specified qualification period.
This event is an exciting opportunity for athletes to compete at SA’s premier athletics facility and finish off the season with some personal bests (PBs) in what is one of the most “feel good” events on the Little Athletics SA calendar. This season has also seen the introduction of the Under 8’s to the State Challenge. This provides a great opportunity to those athletes to become familiar with how a Championship style-competition runs, whilst also competing in a friendly environment.
Most individual events are held for each age group, with the top three placed athletes awarded medals. Finals will not be conducted for this event; medals will be based on heat times. Field events will be best of three attempts (no final 8).
Qualification Standards (refer to Rule 707 of the 2018/19 LASA Standard Competition Rules):

– An athlete must have met the qualification standards by no later than Sunday 24th February 2019.
Eligibility Requirements (refer to Rule 703 of the 2018/19 LASA Standard Competition Rules):
– An athlete must be registered with a Little Athletics SA affiliated centre by no later than Monday 31st December 2018.
– An athlete must have participated in 20 events at their centre competition by Sunday 24th February 2019.
